The Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) is responsible for recycling, organics/yard waste and waste disposal services for Essex County and Windsor. They provide blue and red-box recycling at the curb for residents.

Each local municipality and the City of Windsor are responsible for providing their own garbage collection services.
