Background information

The 9-1-1 Technical Advisory Committee is responsible for the Windsor-Essex County Enhanced 9-1-1 Systems. The Committee looks at the operation of 9-1-1 on a yearly basis and reviews the following 3 issues:

  • Looks at 9-1-1 calls received, the action taken, and the time taken to respond, etc.
  • Assists in special projects (such as regional interoperability communications, emergency notification and alert systems)
  • Answers questions from the public, policy questions, and reviews complaints or concerns in providing 9-1-1 service.

County Council appointed Councillor Al Fazio to the Committee for the term of Council December 2014 to November 2018.

Various locations throughout the County and City.


2 to 3 times per year, usually at 10 AM.
