The Essex County Civic and Education Centre Art program has been in operation since 1975. All works in the collection are by Essex County artists. Concept originator, Al Linnell, created "Project Visual Arts" to allow for the acquisition of art pieces. Donations from the four owner occupants of the Civic Centre, the Ontario Arts Council and privately raised funds made the acquisition of the art possible. Wintario also provided funds to facilitate the aquisition of further art works. The complete Essex County Civic and Education Centre art collection will be available for on-line viewing, at this site, in the near furture. |
